Exercising the muscles in your face can relieve stress by increasing blood circulation in the area. By increasing blood flow, more nutrients are delivered for your cells to grow. Exercising the facial muscles will increase their muscle tone, and this results in the muscle pulling stronger on your skin. With tauter skin, wrinkles will have less chances of forming as the skin will be more elastic and will return to its normal state immediately after. The muscles in the face are small and run in different directions, so you will have to do specific exercises for each part of your face. For wrinkles around the eyes, what you can do is pull on your temples while keeping your eyes tightly shut. This stretches the muscles at maximum capacity so that muscle tone is increased. Repeat for at least 30 times.
Wrinkles on the forehead are usually very prominent, but there is also an exercise that you can do to reduce these wrinkles. This is done by pulling down on your eyelids to keep your eyes closed, while raising the eyebrows as high as you can. Hold this for a few seconds then release. Again, repeat for at least 30 times.
Getting rid of laugh lines and sagging skin in the neck is also easy. For your cheeks, pull down on them while trying to smile as hard as you can. This stretches the muscles so that fine lines will not form in this area. For the neck, move the lower lip as far as you can over the upper lip. For these two exercises, keep your head tilted backward to allow maximum stretching of the skin. Do 30 repetitions for each exercise.
Doing facial exercises will require a lot of patience as it will take some time before you can see results. This is why it is good to start young and develop a habit so that you won’t have to wait for wrinkles to disappear.
